Owners Danny Giannarelli and Daniela Pellizzato designed the restaurant for diners to experience sharing dishes with various tastes, flavours, and authenticity, just like a Sunday lunch with friends and family in Italy.
The menu has a variety of antipasti, meat, fish, pasta, pizza, sides, and sweet options, featuring fresh local ingredients and imported products from Italy.
250 Grammi have created a perfectly matching wine list, with an extensive range of Australian and International wines, local and imported beers and spirits. Start the night with an espresso martini or the Italian Paloma, with tequila, Campari, grapefruit, lime and aranciata.
Here are our favourites from the menu: Potato croquette with truffle and pink pepper mascarpone or beef tenderloin tartare with a hint of chilli, raspberry gel, and gorgonzola melts.
If you are looking for seafood, try the grilled Mooloolaba prawns, fresh fennel, citrus fruit salad, honey, and ginger vinaigrette.
Midway, the house-made potato gnocchi and beef ragout or the Avarizia pizza with creamed truffle, smoked scamorza, mushrooms, rocket, truffle EVO, and Parmigiano Reggiano.
Dessert, the decadent chocolate fondant infused with Frangelico, chantilly cream, pistachio crumble, and a bitter orange jelly. Or the classic cannoli siciliani, shells of fried pastry dough filled with ricotta and chocolate drops, finished with pistachio crumble.
