Tanglewood Bakery was formed on the values of creating healthy artisan bread that is natural, organic, living and baked daily in Noosa.

Beginning in 2014 and named after the beautiful Tanglewood Track that follows the eucalyptus woodlands and the stunning coast of the Noosa National Park.

Tanglewood Bakery offers a large range of organic sourdough, bread, pastries, tarts, doughnuts and more. Baked fresh daily and with two locations in Noosa and plenty of stockists around the region in restaurants, cafes and providores.

Tanglewood’s organic sourdough bread incorporates ancient grains, freshly milled flour and wheat-free stoneground whole spelt flour, using ‘old world’ techniques to harness the incredible flavours that sourdough is known for.

The flour is stone-milled from organic growers and Tanglewood retains the endosperm and the germ in their bread to maximise nutrient density. Tanglewood Bakery has the Snail of Approval accreditation and is proud to be part of the Slow Food Noosa network.

Tanglewood uses a 20-hour slow-rise fermentation process to break down the acetic and phytic acid in the grain, aiding digestion and increasing the natural flavour of each loaf.

Here are a few varieties to try; Charcoal sourdough, olive bread, heritage loaf, fruit loaf, and the Italian sourdough with sundried tomatoes, roasted peppers, olives and parmesan.

You’ll find a range of sweet and savoury pastries like croissants, plain, almond and chocolate, tarts, scrolls, doughnuts, cruffins, muffins and a variety of fruit danishes and their new irresistible chocolate brownie danish.

Enjoy a range of holiday season hot cross buns for Easter and fruit mince tarts for Christmas and other favourites to boot.

All French pastries are organic and made using real butter, pasture-raised eggs and local Jersey milk. Let’s face it who can resist those decadent fillings, layers of flaky pastry and creme patissiere that tempt us day after day.

Noosa Farmers Market on Sundays from 6 am to 12 noon.
